One such dog is Myna, who has been waiting for her chance since birth. At ten years old, this adorable pup has only known life in boarding and kennels, yet she remains hopeful that a kind human will eventually take her to a loving forever home.
When Myna first arrived at Twenty Paws Rescue in Brooklyn, New York, her past was shrouded in mystery. The only thing the staff knew was that she was a stray dog. “Unfortunately, we don’t know what her life was like before the shelter. She was a stray that found herself at the city shelter,” TPR shared on Facebook. Despite her unknown history, Myna seamlessly adapted to her new surroundings, always friendly and welcoming.
Over the years, the rescue team has come to know Myna as the sweetest Boxer mix. This lovebug has a heart full of affection, yet she still awaits her forever family. “She’s really a forgotten soul and we ache for her. For years, she’s in boarding waiting for a chance. Yet, not a single email comes for this senior nugget, ever. Why? She’s sweet, playful, affectionate, and full of smiles,” TPR wrote on Facebook.
Through all these years, Myna has never lost her spark. Every morning she wakes up with boundless enthusiasm and a zest for life that is truly inspiring. “She doesn’t let anything get her down, approaching each day with bright slobbery jowls ready to smooch,” the rescue added. Myna’s resilience and positive attitude make her a truly special dog.
Endless Energy
Even at ten years old, Myna still has the spirit of a young pup. Her caregivers affectionately call her the fountain of youth because of her incredible energy. Myna would thrive in a family that loves adventures, as she’s always ready for new experiences. “Despite her age, Myna has no health issues and is still an active dog who would do well in a home with active older kids,” her caregivers say.
Myna’s adaptable nature means she would fit perfectly into a home where she can join in on all the family fun. She’s a go-with-the-flow type of pup who just wants to be part of the action. Her resilience and joy are infectious, and she’s sure to bring happiness to any family.
