The Call That Shocked Everybody

The rescue team received an urgent call from a local woman who had been feeding Angel. She reported that this mother dog was trapped in a nearby pit with her newborn puppies. Stunned by the distressing news, the rescuers rushed to the scene without a moment’s hesitation.

Upon arrival, they discovered it was the same dog they had been attempting to save for six months. This time, however, Angel wasn’t alone. She was accompanied by eight newborn pups she had given birth to in an abandoned building, along with two orphaned puppies!

The team had no concrete evidence, but it seemed clear that someone had cruelly thrown the dogs into the pit, leaving them to face a grim fate.

“We have no idea how they ended up in that pit. We would hazard a guess that somebody probably threw them down there,” Anthony shared with The Dodo.

Coping With The Trauma

Angel and her eight puppies (Dasher, Prancer, Dancer, Cupid, Rudolph, Comet, Vixen, and Blitzen), along with the two orphans, Immy and Mr. Mushroom, were soon settled into their new refuge with loving caretakers.

Despite this, Angel struggled with severe trauma from her past experiences of neglect and abuse. It took days for her to trust the rescuers enough to come out from hiding.

The dedicated team never gave up on her. With a lot of tender love and care, they worked tirelessly to help Angel recover and regain her confidence.

As Angel began to make progress, her puppies also started to thrive, showing signs of a brighter future ahead.
