A New Beginning
When a young Pitbull mix named Koby was abandoned by breeders, he found himself at a South Carolina shelter, separated from his mother. He and his siblings were left in a cardboard box, yearning for the love they had lost. Thankfully, the shelter staff took them in and sought help from Ollie’s Angels Animal Rescue.
The rescue organization, based in New York, took the puppies under their wing. In 2021, newlyweds Steven and Jessica visited the rescue, hoping to find a furry addition to their family. A tan Pitbull puppy named Koby instantly captured their hearts, and they knew they had found their new family member.
Koby felt an immediate bond with Steven and Jessica from the moment they held him. “The first time we got to hold him, he just sunk in our arms,” Steven shared. The couple wasted no time and brought Koby to his forever home that very day.
Adjusting to his new environment, Koby had a few restless nights. His parents, wanting to help, bought him a heartbeat stuffed animal that provided warmth and comfort. Koby quickly found solace in the toy, allowing him to sleep peacefully and feel more secure.
