Sad Realization
The dedicated rescuers did a thorough examination of the dog and discovered a microchip. This was a turning point because it revealed that the dog indeed had an owner nearby, just a few miles away. The team quickly headed to the neighboring village, determined to reunite the dog with his rightful owner.
Upon arrival, they were met with a chorus of barking from multiple dogs. The owner answered the door, and they inquired about the missing dog. He revealed that Lupin, the dog in question, had vanished two months ago, aligning perfectly with the stray’s timeline.
The rescuers anticipated a joyous reunion, but were taken aback when the owner expressed his inability to take Lupin back. Despite his sorrowful expression, he admitted that he could no longer care for Lupin due to the number of dogs he was already looking after.
