Rescuing the Sweet Little Girl
A compassionate biker stumbled upon a heart-wrenching scene by the roadside—a tiny dog in dire straits, marred by wounds. Unable to immediately assist, he quickly arranged for help, ensuring she wouldn’t be left behind. His swift actions set in motion a rescue effort that would change her life forever.
With his mother and the Mission Pawsible team, the rescue mission began. The little pup, though frightened, was of paramount importance. Despite her fear, the team was resolute in their mission. They started by asking around, only to discover she had an owner, which was shocking given her appalling condition.

“She was once a stunning western breed puppy but she wasn’t maintained… covered in dreadlocks, ticks, fleas…”
Her lack of basic care was evident. Attempts to lure her into a cage with food failed, but the owner eventually arrived, managing to put a leash on her.
Although the owner allowed them to take her, the dog’s eyes reflected profound sadness and confusion. The rescue team described the experience as heartbreaking. Despite the neglect, she still had love for her owner. Yet, she seemed to sense that these rescuers were there to help her, and she began to calm down.
The Start of a New and Beautiful Life
At the veterinary clinic, the pup enjoyed a much-needed haircut and a nourishing meal. With her matted fur gone, the team could finally assess her injuries, which, to their relief, were minimal. Although her spirit was still broken, the clinic staff were determined to help her regain her trust in humans.
She needed the right foster home or preferably a forever home where she could slowly learn to trust again. Fortunately, a new home was found swiftly. Her new mom, Michellina Suminto, was a perfect match and instantly fell in love with her. Michellina had been looking for another dog to keep her existing pet company.
Lexie, as she was now named, transformed into a beautifully fluffy dog as her coat grew back. Her new appearance was nothing short of incredible, and she quickly adapted to her new environment. In just a few days, she and her adoptive brother, Edison, became inseparable.
Michellina shared with The Dodo, “She is such a brave girl now, I am so proud of her.” Lexie’s journey from a neglected roadside pup to a cherished family member is a testament to the power of compassion and love. She no longer fears humans, thanks to the kind souls who showed her what true care means.
