Despite his size, which might intimidate potential adopters, he’s incredibly playful and happy.
Wendy emphasized that Barney is the friendliest dog at the shelter, always ready to engage with anyone.
His affectionate nature makes him a perfect companion for those willing to look past his imposing appearance.
A New Chance For Barney
According to a Facebook post by the shelter, Barney longs for human interaction. When visitors approach, he presses himself against the gate to soak up every bit of love.
Sitting with him or taking him out to play fills him with joy, showing just how much he craves companionship.
Despite numerous letdowns, Barney’s outlook remained bright.
In February, his best friend, Lincoln, pleaded with the community to consider adopting Barney.
Efforts to Find Barney a Home
To boost his chances of finding a forever home, the rescue partners at Paws Around The Pee Dee in South Carolina took Barney in.
There, he continues to wait patiently for someone to recognize his loving nature.
While it’s uncertain if Barney has found his forever home, his cheerful demeanor and boundless love make him a deserving candidate for adoption.
