Rescue Mission
Despite Suzette Hall, founder of Logan’s Legacy, having executed numerous rescues, her heart aches each time she learns of an animal in distress. When she heard about a dog abandoned on a perilous freeway, she knew she had to act swiftly.
Accompanied by her friend Arturo, the two rescuers rushed to the scene, even though it was already late at night. They were determined to save the pup, no matter the hour.
Upon arrival, they faced a daunting sight. The road was bustling with traffic, and the pup was visibly petrified. A homeless man mentioned that the dog hadn’t moved from the spot since being abandoned, likely waiting for his owners to return.
Hall and Arturo realized that approaching the pup too quickly could lead him to dart into traffic, risking his life. They needed to handle this with utmost care.
One Chance To Get It Right
The rescuers knew that they had just one opportunity to capture the dog safely. They devised a plan to create a makeshift enclosure using a mattress, boxes, and wood.
Arturo and Hall carefully maneuvered the terrified dog into the enclosed area, blocking his escape route with a piece of wood. The pup was so scared that he tried to flee, but they persevered.
“After much effort and Arturo holding up the area he was trying to escape from, I finally got him in my snare,” Hall shared. The relief they felt was beyond words.
They quickly transported the pup to their car and headed to the vet clinic, overjoyed at giving another dog a chance at a new life.
New Chapter
The intense rescue inspired Hall to choose the perfect name for the dog. “We took a chance on him, so we named him Chance,” she explained. It was a fitting name for such a courageous pup.
The vet staff, moved by Chance’s ordeal, decided to pamper him with a relaxing spa day, transforming his appearance and lifting his spirits.
Thanks to the unwavering dedication of Hall and Arturo, Chance now has a bright future ahead. Their commitment to saving animals in need is truly commendable.
