In a most unlikely place, a passerby discovered Nova in a dumpster. Covered with a tarp and suffering from a severely infected wound, he awaited a miracle. The person quickly rushed him to a clinic, where the dedicated PAWS Chicago team took over his care.
Despite all efforts, Nova’s leg couldn’t be saved. He became a three-legged warrior. The team shared, “Nova was found in a dumpster with a large, severely infected wound that required immediate amputation.”
His body bore the evidence of past abuse and neglect, but Nova’s spirit remained unbroken. Even during his first day post-surgery, he was radiating joy, jumping into laps and playing with his toys.
