The Unexpected Discovery
When the dogs were picked up from the streets and brought to the shelter, they immediately caught everyone’s eye. The staff noticed something unusual and shiny on their foreheads. Upon closer inspection, they were stunned to see that the dogs had jewelry glued to their heads.
Despite their extensive experience, the shelter staff had never encountered anything like this. The presence of the jewels was both puzzling and concerning. They quickly decided that the glue and jewels needed to be removed to ensure the dogs’ health and safety.
After careful removal, the team discovered that the glue hadn’t caused any significant damage. However, the dogs were left with scars on their foreheads. Thankfully, there were no other health issues, and the dogs were eager to find a loving home.
Eventually, a kind family adopted them, providing a loving environment. Unfortunately, after a tragic turn of events, the dogs were left without a caretaker and had to return to the shelter.
Back to the Shelter
Once again at the shelter, the duo faced the challenge of finding a new home. Given their senior status, they were transferred to a specialized rescue organization. Muttville Senior Dog Rescue in San Francisco took them in, dedicated to helping older dogs find forever homes.
In foster care, they were under the loving attention of Lisa Arden. She provided them with the care and affection they needed, allowing them to flourish and show their true personalities.
Arden shared that both dogs were very friendly and got along well with people and other dogs. Their playful and active natures made them a joy to be around, despite their advanced age.
Although Peanut Butter and Jelly had strong personalities, it was clear that Jelly took on the role of the boss, often guiding Peanut Butter in their daily activities.
Social Media Sensation
Despite their charming personalities, the dogs spent three months in foster care without any adoption applications. Determined to find them a home, Arden created a TikTok video highlighting their story. The video went viral, capturing the hearts of viewers worldwide. Their adorable antics and loving bond resonated with many.
The viral video significantly boosted their chances of finding a forever home. On October 26th, 2023, Arden shared the joyful news that the dogs had a virtual meet and greet with a potential adopter. The interaction was a success, and they were on the path to a new home.
Arden was confident that the dogs had found the perfect match. The new dad seemed to be the ideal person to provide them with the love and care they deserved. Everyone eagerly awaited the completion of the adoption process.
The story of Peanut Butter and Jelly is a testament to resilience and the power of love. We are delighted that these wonderful dogs have found their forever home and look forward to their new adventures.
A Happy Ending
After overcoming numerous challenges, Peanut Butter and Jelly’s story finally had a happy ending. They found a loving home where they could live out their golden years in peace and happiness. Their journey touched many hearts and showed the importance of compassion and second chances.
Their new dad was thrilled to welcome them into his home, ready to offer them a life filled with love and care. Their bond quickly grew, making it clear that they were meant to be together.
We are overjoyed for Peanut Butter and Jelly and wish them a bright future with their new family. Their story is a reminder that there is always hope, even in the most challenging situations. Their resilience and spirit are truly inspiring.

Who would glue jewelry on a dog’s forehead? That’s just cruel. Glad they’re safe now!
