Curled Up Together, Trying To Stay Warm
Encountering stray dogs battling to survive on the streets is always a heart-wrenching sight. Recently, in Southern California, a family of three senior dogs found themselves abandoned with merely an empty box and an old blanket to shield them from a merciless storm. The poor canines were trembling beneath the blanket when concerned neighbors attempted to help.
Despite their efforts, the dogs remained extremely timid and refused any assistance. Days went by, and the loyal trio stayed in the same spot, prompting the local community to leave piles of kibble and bowls of water nearby, hoping the dogs would find some solace in the offerings.
Suzette Hall To The Rescue
One compassionate neighbor reached out to Suzette Hall, the founder of Logan’s Legacy, who swiftly responded and arrived at the scene. Suzette recounted on Instagram how the dogs were found shivering and huddled together on their makeshift bed, with food left untouched.
The dogs were terrified of human contact and would run and hide, only to return to the street where they clung to each other. Suzette set up two humane traps filled with tasty food in hopes of luring them to safety. To her amazement, when one dog entered a trap, the other two remained by its side, refusing to leave their sibling alone.
The Plan That Worked
Realizing the traps wouldn’t work, Suzette placed the captured sibling in her van and left the door open, hoping the other two would follow. Her plan succeeded as the loose dogs ran straight to the van to be with their captured friend. Suzette quickly secured them, finally ensuring their safety.
“They were hesitant but wanted to be with their friend. I knew they would jump into my van. After some time, they gathered the courage and jumped in. I quickly shut the door. I had them safe,” Suzette shared, revealing her relief.
Waiting For A Furever Home
Suzette took the trio to Camino Pet Hospital for a checkup, where it was discovered they had severe dental issues, but were otherwise in good health despite their age. The dogs, now named Jacob, Naomi, and Adam, were later found to be sweet and affectionate.
Although still waiting for adoption, the siblings are overjoyed to be together and well-cared for. They generously shower everyone with kisses and affection, demonstrating their potential as loving pets once they find their forever home. We remain hopeful that the perfect family is just around the corner for these deserving dogs.

Suzette is a hero! But I wonder, how do they handle all the dental issues? Must be expensive!
