A Remarkable Canine Birth
Welcoming a litter is a joyous yet overwhelming experience for dog owners. If you’ve ever seen it firsthand, you know it’s one of the most magical experiences. The bond between a dog mom and her puppies is something truly special and heartwarming.
In March, Tanya Dubbs from Pocahontas, Virginia, had no idea she was about to witness history. Her beloved Great Dane, Namine, was set to make headlines across the nation. What began as a normal birth quickly turned into something extraordinary.
Over the span of 27 hours, Namine astonishingly gave birth to 21 puppies. Tanya and her family were stunned as the number of puppies kept increasing. Expecting no more than 14 pups, they were amazed when the count surpassed 16. After a long labor, Namine had an unbelievable litter. Sadly, two puppies passed away shortly after birth, leaving 19 healthy pups.
Most of the puppies weighed over a pound, except for two that were slightly under. This incredible event left Tanya and her family in awe, proving that nature can surprise us in the most wonderful ways.
A Tale of Survival and Strength
Namine’s story doesn’t end there. Last year, she faced a life-threatening situation. One night, she and her sibling, Malificent, escaped and were hit by a truck. Namine was left with injuries to her back and eye.
Tanya was heartbroken and shared her pain online, saying, “My sweet Namine and Malificent escaped this evening. Malificent came back… Namine has not. I was told that she got hit by a car.”
Fortunately, Namine was found and treated within sixteen hours. She made a miraculous recovery, showing no severe long-term effects. Her resilience was nothing short of inspiring.
Namine’s journey from a terrible accident to becoming a super mom is a testament to her strength and spirit. Her story highlights the power of love and resilience, showing that even in tough times, life finds a way to bring joy.
A Happy Life with Her Loving Family
Tanya plans to sell all the puppies now that they are weaned. Part of the proceeds will be donated to the Tazewell County Animal Shelter in Bluefield, Virginia. This gesture reflects Tanya’s gratitude and love for animals.
Despite parting with her puppies, Namine will never be alone. She has a loving family of humans and dog siblings to keep her company. This big-hearted doggo will continue to share her days with those she loves most.
Namine is not just a receiver of love; she’s a giver too. She shows affection to her humans and takes care of little ones. Like all Great Danes, she’s a wonderful nanny and adores being around children.
This touching story of Namine and her pups is a beautiful reminder of the bond between pets and their owners. It showcases how resilient and loving our furry friends can be, overcoming challenges with love and care.

Pawfect Little Life” – love the pun! But isn’t selling puppies a bit controversial?
